A launch valve on an 80-year-old pipeline was showing its age and needed to be replaced.  

Understanding the best solution

A 10” IsoTool was pumped out 20 feet past the valve and set in 36 minutes.  After the 30-minute Isolation Assurance Test, the valve was pulled and a new valve was installed.  

Planning and delivery

The mechanical work took 2 hours, and the IsoTool was unset in 36 minutes.  The pipeline back up and running in less than 4 hours.

This is the 3^rd trap valve the IsoTool has replaced on this system, and the client plans to remove several more in the coming months.
